Mohr Dog will enable you to communicate with your dog and learn how to change unwanted behavior.
Michaela Mohr grew up on a farm in Sweden. She was surrounded by dogs and other animals her whole life and got her first dog as a teenager. The dog was the smallest in the litter and was very shy and fearful even as a puppy. Not knowing how to deal with this behavior, Michaela made many mistakes in her attempts to build confidence in her dog. In fact the fearful dog bit someone when it was only nine months old. Ordinary obedience training did not solve the dog's behavior problems. Several years later Michaela found herself on the verge of euthanizing her dog.
She contacted several trainers but did not get any useful help. She decided that it would be beneficial for her dog to place it in a different home and hope that the new environment would help change its behavior. This inspired Michaela to learn more about dog psychology and behavioral problems in dogs. She always felt it must be possible to retrain these dogs by involving the owners in the training. In order to change the behavior of the dog, the behavior of the owner must also change.
She moved from Stockholm to Philadelphia in 2004 and began learning to be a dog trainer. After a year of apprenticing, studying, and extensive work at a shelter, Michaela started training dogs and their owners. In 2006 she started Mohr Dog.
